Riverside Walking and Biking Trail
As shown on the subdivision plan, On The Bend you will have a public access to the Riverfront Walking and Biking Trail System. Presently you can start here and walk or bike all along the river to the new bridge in West Riverview, across the river, come back the other side of the river through Moncton’s downtown area, then to Dieppe and end up in St. Anselme. Lots of shops, cafe’s, and restaurants along the way.
Traffic Free Jogging
Imagine going out for a run and being able to run for over 15 kilometres never having to cross a road or an intersection. A runners and walkers dream, time in nature alongside one of the worlds most famous rivers. The Petitcodiac River and its Tidal Bore is known for its twice daily tidal surge, led by the Bore wave as it moves up river twice daily.
Riverview’s Indoor Skate Park
The Riverview INDOOR Skatepark and Youth Centre facility includes a 15,000 square foot indoor skatepark designed for all skill levels, an arcade room, PS4 gaming system, fundraising canteen and Surface Skateshop which stocks hardgoods, softgoods, and apparel all on the main floor. Upstairs the Youth Centre is a great spot to hang out, play pool, air hockey or fooseball. There is lots of gaming equipment to choose from including: a Wii, Xbox 360 and a PS3. There are also movies available to watch on the home theatre system.
HOLY WHALE BEER GARDEN
The Holy Whale Beer Garden is a new outdoor patio situated behind the Chocolate River Station that overlooks the beautiful Petitcodiac. Serving a variety of their own products on tap as well as beer, cider and wine from other local producers, the Holy Whale Beer Garden promises a dog and kid friendly environment with a spectacular view.
